The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen program provides the basis for living with our dogs - from reliable obedience skills, recalls, greeting new people, and training your dog to be comfortable in all environments.
This class provides a great foundation for getting started in Dog Sports and Therapy Dog volunteering.
We offer training and evaluations for the AKC:
The CGC test includes skills of accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting and grooming, loose leash walking, sit/down/stay, and coming to you when called.
