We are excited to host our workshops in our spacious training arena conveniently located at 8819 353rd Ave NE, Carnation, WA 98014.
The one-day workshops will be held on three Saturdays: March 16th, May 4th, and August 31st, 2024. They will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Access to the training facility will open at 8:00 a.m.
Each workshop consists of four 90-minute sessions with breaks for lunch and between sessions, totaling eight hours.
These workshops are perfect for anyone interested in improving their dog training skills, including pet owners and professional trainers alike.
The workshop includes eight working teams with dogs and up to thirty auditors (participants without dogs). If you would like to bring your dog, you can participate as a Working Team in the workshop. If not, the auditors are welcome to join without their dogs.
To ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for all participants, dogs with aggressive, reactive, or noisy behaviors are not allowed without Kathy's prior approval. Please email Diana Simonsen with any questions.
Yes, to be added to the waitlist for a working team or as an auditor, please email us at diana@dianasimonsen.com. Specify your preference in the email (working team or auditor). If a spot opens up, we will contact you in the order of the waitlist. We appreciate your interest and will do our best to accommodate you if space becomes available.
Only working teams are permitted to bring their dogs to the workshop.
We kindly request that auditors do not bring their dogs as there will be limited time and resources available to care for them. Therefore, it is best to leave your dogs at home while you attend the workshop as an auditor. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
You have the flexibility to choose whether you want to attend one, two, or all three workshops based on your preferences and availability. Each workshop is designed to stand alone and cover different aspects of creating training success. While attending multiple workshops can provide a comprehensive learning experience, it is not mandatory to attend all three.
Our workshops welcome all skill levels but require prior knowledge of positive training methods.
"Our training facility is covered on three sides but it is not climate-controlled. We will be using two training areas: The Alcove Training Area, which has rubber matting, and the Main Training Arena, which has a sand mix that provides optimal training conditions. We kindly request all attendees to dress appropriately for their comfort."
Working Teams with dogs will park in the gravel parking lot situated directly behind the Main Training Arena. Auditors will park on the South Field, which is a grass surface located a short walk from the Main Training Arena. Two Accessible Parking spots will be available next to the Main Training Arena.
Cancellation of a workshop is allowed without penalty if requested at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. However, cancelations requested less than 48 hours before the workshop will not be refunded. If you are unable to attend the workshop, you may offer your spot to another person with prior approval from Diana Simonsen. Please contact us by email to request approval.
We will host a potluck lunch during the workshop. All participants are invited to bring their favorite foods to share. Please include a note with all ingredients. Coffee, tea, and hot/cold water will be provided. A portable bathroom will be available on-site for convenience.
We will provide three types of seating, but participants are welcome to bring their own chairs.
