When you sign up for dog training services with us, you're not just choosing a path to better behavior and skills for your dog; you're entering into a contract that includes several important agreements. Here's what you need to know:
- Accurate Information: You ensure that all registration forms are completed accurately and truthfully, including information concerning the dog's bite history, behavioral issues, fears, and other potential dangers. You agree to promptly update us about any changes to this information.
- Cancellation: All cancellations or rescheduling made less than 48 hours before class time will be treated as no-shows, and you will forfeit the fee for that class. Refunds for cancellations made at least 48 hours before class will be considered at our discretion when medically necessary for you or your dog or if your dog is in season.
- Health and Safety: You agree that your dog(s) are up-to-date with vaccinations, including rabies and distemper, and are currently healthy and free of fleas, parasites, and transmittable diseases.
- Client Conduct: You are expected to always behave respectfully and courteously toward staff and other participants. Any behavior or conduct that distresses others will immediately terminate this Agreement. A positive and cooperative atmosphere is crucial for the success of the training and the well-being of all participants.
- Training Methods and Equipment: We are dedicated to implementing positive, force-free training and handling practices. Using aversive training devices, including choke, prong, pinch, slip, or shock collars, is strictly forbidden within the context of our training programs. If you use this type of equipment, please consult with us to identify acceptable and humane alternatives before the commencement of any training regimen. We approve using specific equipment for training: harnesses, solid leashes, flat buckle collars, and muzzles. All dogs must remain securely leashed during group class sessions unless explicitly directed otherwise by the conducting instructor.
- Comprehensive Agreement: The services we agreed to provide are detailed in this contract, the Intake Form, the choices made on our website, and any confirmed emails regarding specific services. No other agreements, spoken or implied, are part of this contract unless they're written and signed by both parties.
- Confidentiality: Both parties agree to keep proprietary or confidential information exchanged under this contract confidential. This confidentiality agreement will continue even after the contract ends, except where disclosure is required by law or needed to fulfill the contract.
- Payment and Late Fees: Upon booking, you agree to pay the fees stated on our website. Late payments incur interest and potential collection costs, including attorney's fees.
- Photo and Video Consent: You grant us the right to use photos and videos taken during training sessions for business purposes, including marketing and educational content. You waive any privacy or copyright claims related to these images and videos.
- Risk Acknowledgment: You understand the risks involved in dog training and agree to assume responsibility for your dog's actions during the sessions and to follow our guidance carefully.
You acknowledge and agree to these key terms by signing the Dog Training Service Contract, which will ensure a transparent and constructive relationship as we work together to achieve your dog's training goals. The entire contract is available in your student account.
